Comments: The All Samples layer shows all samples with the preliminary description given to the sample by the onboard geologist when the sample was acquired. The second layer All_Samples_With ParticleSizeAnalysis shows the results of partical size analysis (PSA) carried out on samples from 2004. PSA is applied to determine the range of sediment sizes contained in the sample, the results show percentage gravels, sands, silt and mud present in the sample. This analysis is also used to determine if the sample is well or poorly sorted.
Subject: Layer showing all samples collected by INFOMAR to date and a second layer showing all of the samples collected that have had partical size analysis carried out.
